The 2022 Summer Music Vancouver edition has been a delight to plan, bringing to our stage both new and old friends. In keeping with MITM’s commitment to small, intimate concert experiences, the festival unfolds over two days with repeat programs on both days.
Designed for concertgoers to immerse themselves in a full day’s musical journey and enrichment, these events can also be attended as single events.
Working closely with Livia Sohn, artistic director Adrian Fung devised two powerful concert programs balancing familiar works and hidden gems. Anchored by some of the most storied works by Brahms and Dvorak, listeners will also have the chance to hear the beautiful Clara Schumann Three Romances in a rare performance with cello and piano, and a riveting work by intrepid musician/composer Paul Wiancko. Illuminating the stories behind the music and composers, Adrian joins founder June Goldsmith in conversation for Noon With June (which includes a paper bag lunch).
