BC’s own Ambur Braid makes her Music in the Morning debut following acclaimed appearances with the Festival d’Aix en Provence, Komische Oper Berlin, and Staatsoper Hamburg. Internationally recognized for her fearless virtuosity and dramatic intensity in roles such as Salome, Marie (Wozzeck), and Katerina Ismailova (Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk), she brings operatic brilliance to the recital stage. The Globe and Mail has praised her “incandescent stage presence” and “astonishing vocal command.”
Braid is joined by the equally luminous Tina Chang for a moving morning of art songs from Britten, Korngold, and more.
