The award-winning Verona Quartet ends a whirlwind two weeks with a second set of concerts. Each year, the resident ensemble is paired with a distinguished mentor artist. This season, the Verona Quartet is joined by pianist Jeremy Denk, recipient of the MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship and the Avery Fisher Prize. Known for his probing intellect, wit, and deeply personal interpretations, Denk brings a rare combination of scholarship and spontaneity to the stage.
In a program anchored by Schumann’s masterful Piano Quintet, Denk’s first collaboration with the Verona Quartet promises to be a dynamic meeting of musical minds.
