Anagnoson & Kinton, piano duo

November 13-15, 2019

Anagnoson & Kinton are recognized today as one of the world’s finest piano duos. With over 1000
performances throughout the duo’s 40-year history, their astonishing performances have been repeatedly met with great critical acclaim across North America, Europe, China, and Russia. In addition to traditional recitals, the duo has commissioned numerous compositions, expanding the boundaries of piano-duo idiom. Respected scholars and performers, Anagnoson & Kinton’s musicianship defines the art of true ensemble playing.

James Anagnoson is the Dean of The Royal Conservatory’s Glenn Gould School and Leslie Kinton is on the faculties at both the University of Western Ontario and The Glenn Gould School.

Anagnoson & Kinton’s program will include Saint Saens’ Danse Macabre (two-piano version), Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos, Debussy’s own stunning two-piano version of Prelude to Afternoon of a Faun, and closes with the great party piece, Lutoslawski’s Variations on a Theme of Paganini.

This concert has been generously sponsored by friends and family of Dorothy Findlay.
