March 18th 2020: 11:45am-12:45pm
Location: Mary Olson Hall in the Vancouver Academy of Music (1270 Chestnut St.)
Vancouver icon June Goldsmith is known for her passion for classical music. For decades, Goldsmith has charmed audiences with her knowledge and enthusiastic approach to classical music. Her lifelong commitment has led to a rich and varied career as a concert presenter, entrepreneur, music educator and pianist, and now as a radio broadcaster and lecturer. Her warm style and personality has brought classical music to life for audiences in Vancouver, and indeed, across the country.
This season, June will host a series of four conversations with some of our mainstage artists. Immediately following their Wednesday recitals at the Vancouver Academy of Music the featured artists will take the stage with June to discuss the performance and the repertoire played from the artists perspective. This seasons conversations include a stellar lineup of Brentano String Quartet, pianists Anagnoson & Kinton, the Calmus Ensemble, and Afiara String Quartet.
A light lunch is included in the ticket price and will be served before the conversation event begins. Food can be enjoyed in the sanctuary during the event.
This event is generously sponsored by Susan Ronalds.
