“A sound that has just about everything one wants from a quartet,
most notably precision, warmth and an electricity that conveys the
excitement of playing whatever is on their stands at the moment.”

Beethoven's Late Quartets
St. Lawrence String Quartet
At the end of his life Beethoven wrote five sublime works
that defied tradition and thrust composition into a new era. Gone are
the niceties of classical style and form, as Beethoven explores new ways
of communicating his innermost thoughts. The searing intensity,
personal expressivity and spirituality of the late quartets are a
perfect match for the Juno-winning St. Lawrence String Quartet.
Join one of the great ensembles of our time as they take you inside the
world of Beethoven sharing their vast experience of discovery and
performance.
Having performed together more than 2,000 times, the St. Lawrence
String Quartet has established itself among the world-class chamber
ensembles of its generation, not to mention, a sentimental favourite of
Music in the Morning audiences.
